A typical cart containing the most popular items dropped from €121 to €106, according to the supermarket company.
Popular lunch items including Crumbed Lean Ham, Sliced Chicken/Turkey, Tube It Fromage Frais, Sandwich Thins and Kids Smoothies are all discounted because school is back in session for kids next week, reports Breaking News.
Additional reduced items include protein mousses and puddings, Irish lean beef burgers, free-range chicken fillets, 0% fat Greek yoghurt, and gluten-free kefir protein yoghurt pouches.
In retrospect, over 8 million Brussels sprouts, 2.5 million mince pies, and 320,000 bottles of prosecco, champagne, and sparkling wine were purchased by consumers during the holiday season, reports Breaking News.
