All to play for as Ireland draw 1-1 in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Ireland have kept their Euro 2016 qualification hopes alive after they secured a 1-1 draw in Bosnia and Herzegovina this evening.

The game which was a stalemate throughout came to life in the second half when Robbie Brady put Ireland ahead with a low drive from the edge of the box in 82nd minute, their lead didn’t last very long as Bosnia and Herzegovina equalised on the 85th minute when they cut open the Irish defence with a clever move which was finished off by Edin Dzeko.

The game had little to no action before the two goals with neither side never really threatening to break the deadlock with few chances created in the adverse weather conditions, although the Bosnians retained the vast majority of possession throughout the match with the Irish holding resolute. The result now means Ireland have a precious away goal going into Monday’s second leg at the Aviva stadium in Dublin.
