An Bord Pleanála grant full planning permission for Apple’s new €850m million Irish headquarters

There was good news for Apple today as An Bord Pleanála have granted full planing permission for their new €850 million Irish headquarters.

The new site in Athenry near Galway City was provisionally granted back in 2015. The news of full planning was released earlier today, when the planning board made its decision regarding the planning application this morning, with approval being granted subject to “revised conditions”.

Those revised conditions mostly relate to the prospective construction’s impact on the environment and the effect on “sustainable transport and the orderly development of the area”.

The 24,500 square metre installation will be one of Apple’s first headquarters outside of the US.
