There could be an end in sight to lockdown as it’s emerged the restrictions the Irish public undertook are working.
The Minister for Health Simon Harris has said that he is encouraged by the fact that the Covid-19 reproduction rate is now at 1.
Although the country is still seeing a rise in cases, Harris said latest figures shows that the rate of reproduction is ranging between 0.7 and 1.
Harris said the news is significant as we would have seen over 7,000 new cases per day if the rate had stayed at the 2.4 which was just a couple of weeks ago.
