It appears as though Ireland is in the grips of a second wave of covid with no one whatsoever wanting a second lockdown.
However, what happens next will have a lot to do with Holohan.
Dr. Tony Holohan, the country’s Chief Medical Officer, has expressed ‘deep concern’ about Ireland’s worsening coronavirus situation.
Mr. Holohan, whose team recently recommended an immediate move to nationwide Level 5 restrictions but was refused by Government, pointed out the ‘further deterioration’ of the outbreak in a relatively short period of time.
Official figures say that 1,816 people have died from Covid-19-related causes in Ireland so far.
