
The tragic trend of road deaths continues, after a man died in a collision on the M8 motorway near Tipperary.
The accident, which involved two vehicles, happened at around 9pm on Monday night.
A man in his 70s was fatally injured, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second car was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The M8 remains closed between J11 Cahir South in Tipperary and J12 Mitchelstown North in Cork.
