The attack took place in mid afternoon, just off Henry Street when a seagull suddenly flew at a woman who was eating a burger as she walked along.
An eye-witness told The Liberal;
“It was really quite scary. The woman was just walking along minding her own business when this huge seagull came out of nowhere and swooped down towards her and hit her in the head. At first I thought it was an accident but then I saw a piece of her burger fly into the air and onto the ground and I realised that’s what the seagull was after.
The woman wasn’t hurt but she hurried away from the scene as two more seagulls then arrived. Our eye-witness told us:
“Two more seagulls swooped down and started fighting with the first to try and get the piece of burger on the ground. None of them were in the slightest bit afraid of the crowds of people around. They were really aggressive.”
This isn’t the first time seagulls have been seen getting aggressive on the streets of the capital. A number of politicians have even called for a cull on the birds. What do you think?
