Anti-Austerity leader Paul Murphy has strongly called for the Minister for Finance Michael Noonan to hand his resignation after his mishandling of the SiteServ controversy.
The news comes after another day where the review by IBRC’s liquidators has dominated Leaders’ Questions again in the Dail. Meanwhile the Taoiseach Enda Kenny has insisted that IBRC’s liquidators are entitled to a fair inquiry and that a retired High Court judge will make sure there are no conflicts of interest or favoritism.
However, Mr Murphy has claimed that the Finance Minister Michael Noonan has deliberately misled the DĂ¡il about whether SiteServ was raised in private meetings with IBRC, and that he should therefore tender his resignation.
