An “Anti-Woke” organisation in the UK, set up to combat a rising tide of positive discrimination in the name of social justice has been inundated with calls to their helpline this week.
The Counterweight organisation are involved in projects such as helping concerned charity workers stop funds for vulnerable people being diverted to diversity training programmes. The organisation’s aim is to help “the casualties of the culture wars”.
The founder of Counterweight, Helen Pluckrose during an interview on Newstalk outlined how her organisation receives so many emails from employees in danger of losing their jobs for not complying with new woke management policies in the aftermath of high profile cases like George Floyd and BLM protests.
A lot of companies started implementing new policies based on this critical approach, which isn’t evidence based or falsifiable, and it uses unconscious bias training which is largely discredited says Ms Pluckrose.
