Met Eireann is warning of an approaching spell of wet and windy conditions, which has prompted the issuing of a nationwide ‘advisory’ note.
The next few days are expected to be rather miserable, weather-wise at least. Fourteen counties are already under rainfall warning.
The wet and windy conditions will be ongoing throughout the entire week, so motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution on the roads.
Walkers and joggers are also advised to avoid high ground, seashores, and water bodies like lakes and streams.
