As 10,000 homeless of our own seek any form of shelter, Ireland is taking in more migrants who will be sheltered immediately

It’s sickening, there’s no other way to put it.

As 10,000 of our own people are freezing, frightened and perishing on the streets in the winter weather, in hotel rooms or homeless shelters desperately looking for secure accommodation – Ireland has “agreed” to take in even more migrants.

The atrocious homeless crisis in Ireland is playing second fiddle to people who have never even stepped foot on our shores before.

Ireland along with seven other EU countries have agreed to take in some of the 49 migrants who have been housed on two rescue ships in the Mediterranean Sea over the past few weeks.

In an announcement made yesterday afternoon, the Department of Justice and Equality confirmed that Ireland is willing to help Maltese authorities.

Although the Department refused to say how many migrants Ireland will be talking. But instead said negotiations are currently ongoing.

The migrants were refused entry to Malta, despite being picked up by two German rescue ships off the coast of Libya.

It is understood the agreement will now mean the two ships can disembark in Malta and those onboard will be given asylum in eight EU countries.
