
On a chartered SpaceX trip, Turkey’s first astronaut together with a Swede and an Italian have departed for the International Space Station, reports Breaking News.
The three guys, who all had experience as military pilots and were representing their respective countries, were on board the Falcon rocket when it took off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre in the late afternoon.
A retired NASA astronaut who currently works for the business that organised the private flight will be their escort on the journey, reports Breaking News.
On Saturday, their capsule is expected to arrive at the space station.
