The Government are to introduce a new Covid-19 testing programme at airports in an effort to minimise international travel risks.
It is understood the new programme will see a robust testing system being put in place at the country’s airports.
The plan which will be released later this month will see a testing system being placed at airports that won’t affect the HSE’s current testing capacity.
It is expected that the new programme which is being created with the advice of the Department of Health and the HSE will see more international travel within the European Union.
