The August Bank Holiday weekend is set to get off to a good start, weather wise at least, as Friday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 23-24C during the afternoon, with long sunny periods across western areas of the country.
And the good news is that temperatures will remain rather warm all throughout the weekend, with highs of 24-25C possible at times.
There will also be frequent, thundery showers, however, starting on Friday night.
Saturday and Sunday will be warm but showery, likely hampering outdoor activities. Monday is forecast to be slightly cooler, with periods of sunshine mixed with showers, some of them heavy and prolonged.
