Weightlessness, stunning sunrises, private suites with out of this world views, a limited supply of ozygen, and a hefty bill are all on offer at Aurora Station, the world’s (or should be it, Universe’s?) first off-Earth luxury hotel.
Start-up hospitality/space company Orion Span boasts on its website that it will put Aurora Station in orbit and taking space tourists, four at a time, by 2021. Any would-be guests will have to undergo a three-month long preparation course before launch day.
Aurora Station will roughly be the size of a private jet. The modules are under construction at a Houston facility already. If successful, additional modules will be added in the future.
But you better have a very deep pocket indeed. A 12-day, all-inclusive package will set you back $9.5m.
You can pay a refundable deposit of $80k on Orion Span’s website now.
