An Australian woman who travelled to Pakistan to meet the “man of her dreams” found herself imprisoned, tortured and raped countless times.

Lara Hall (30) from Australia was groomed online by a Muslim man she met through Facebook who eventually convinced her to move to Lahore, Pakistan to live in luxury in what she thought would be a Spanish style villa.

When Lara met Sajjad however, the dream turned into a nightmare and the legal professional was taken prisoner, being beaten and starved regularly.

The exotic “man of her dreams” and his brother raped her multiple times but only after was forced to remain with her legs spread apart for hours to “air out her vagina” she was also denied the use of female hygiene products Daily Mail Australia reports.

Sajjad attempted to force Lara into marriage and to convert to Islam but she managed to bravely refuse these vile demands.

Lara managed to contact the Australian consulate and High Commission who simply told her to contact the police, something she was reticent to do as she had overstayed her visa.

Eventually, she did contact the police and Dr Kaiser Rafiq, chief executive of the AFOHS club, a members-only club for armed forces officers and diplomats on Facebook.

Lara was eventually freed from Sajjad and put into Dr. Rafiq’s care. After two weeks she then travelled to the Pakistani capital Islamabad to appear before the Ministry of the Interior where she was threatened with prison for overstaying her visa.

No legal action was taken against Sajjad.

Lara was able to return home with the help of the Australian consulate after paying a fine.
