Several states in the US have issued warnings regarding mysterious agricultural seeds being sent to households in the post. The packages of unfamiliar seeds, which have been shipped to people across America’s major farming states, are believed to originate from China.
The Governor of Kentucky told press that it is not yet clear whether the seeds are being sent as a prank, internet scam, or even agricultural bioterrorism.
Meanwhile a North Carolina agricultural agency said they believe that a ‘Brushing Scam’ is at work – whereby a company distributes free products to random recipients to generate fake online reviews.
