Police in Italy have confirmed that a five-month-old baby has died following a botched circumcision proceedure.
According to reports in Italy, the infant tragically died of cardiac arrest after he was rushed to hospital Bologna, on Friday.
It is believed that the boy’s parents tried to perform the procedure at home, but the baby boy went into difficulties following the botched attempt.
Police say both parents are now facing manslaughter charges, they also say they are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.
