A new system has been launched to assist expectant mothers on public transport.
The new baby on board badge system which has been launched by Transport for Ireland will now see pregnant women avail badges that informs fellow commuters that they are expecting.
It is hoped that the new initiative will encourage fellow public transport users to give up their seat in order for pregnant women to sit.
Although the system has been successfully trialed at Irish Rail, it is understood that the badges will be available for all forms public transport.
Transport for Ireland say the new badges will be available to collect at most transport stations across the country.
