Bad news if you don’t like Enda Kenny – developments mean he may still be returned as Taoiseach this week

It appears as thought Enda Kenny has one last shot at being returned as the Prime Minister of Ireland this week. In developments over the weekend, there’s a possibility of a rainbow-type government between Fine Gael, Labour and unbelievably the two members who make up the Green party.

Having not received enough votes on Thursday, Kenny and his cohorts are said to be practically begging Labour and the Green party to support them in and effort to return to government.

Micheal Martin’s lack of ability to garner both public and political support means that he most definitely won’t be Taoiseach – something that Fianna Fail supporters claim is the only reason they won’t be in power, with some demanding a resignation from Martin should Kenny be re-elected.

It’s over 7 weeks since the people went to the polls and many are calling for another election to have their voice truly heard one and for all and get some sort of a reliable government that would last longer than the more the likely unstable prospects of such a rainbow-type government.
