The six Irish students that sadly lost their lives in the Berkeley building balcony collapse have been named.
They are: Niccolai Schuster (21), Eoghan Culligan (21), Ashley Donohoe (22), Olivia Burke (21), Lorcan Miller (21) and Eimear Walsh (21).
It is understood the incident happened during a 21st birthday celebration at an apartment in the Library Gardens apartment building at 2020 Kittredge Street, two blocks from the Cal campus.
In a statement, Mayor of Berkeley Tom Bates said: “We’re all awestruck by the incredible tragedy that occurred last evening. Our hearts go out to the loved ones killed and injured.”
