The Bank of England has raised its interest rate by 0.75%, to a whopping 3%.
According to the institution, the move will curb inflation, but it’s a bitter blow for millions of people, who will see their mortgages and loans increase in cost.
The bank has said that interest rates may start to come down again by the middle of 2023.
