Bank of Ireland customers warned of email phising scam currently doing the rounds

bankof

Bank of Ireland customers have been warned of a phishing scam currently targeting them.

You may have received an email purporting to come from Bank of Ireland, offering a ‘refund,’ or ‘tax back.’

The email invites you to click a link, and redirects you to a page that looks remarkably ‘official,’ so you can enter your bank details. If you do this, your details will be stolen and your funds may become compromised.

If you receive any such email, just delete it, and if you believe your details may have been stolen, contact the bank immediately.
