Motorists are being advised to proceed with caution this morning as snowfall and icy conditions are expected in many areas.
According to Met Éireann temperatures are expected to drop to as low as -5C overnight, whilst some snowfall is expected to arrive in the West and the North of the country by early morning.
The warning comes as the country experiencing a cold snap with temperatures expected to reach sub zero temperatures overnight until the weekend.
