He may have just recently announced his plans to resume his solo singing career but multi award winner and global superstar Phil Collins will not be happy after it was recently revealed that a petition has been successfully launched on well known website change.org to try and stop him from coming out of retirement.
The rather mean spirited petition was started by New York native Brian Pee who seemingly has a strong disliking for Collins’s music. The petition which is called: “Phil Collins must be stopped,” has gathered a mere few followers believed to be in the region of 300 people over the past few days, but it is understood to be gaining popularity by the minute. The man behind petition Brian Pee is understood to have got the ball rolling after he posted a rather harsh short message on the page recently, which read: “Phil Collins has announced he is ‘no longer in retirement’. “There is far too much suffering in the world as it is. This must be stopped.”
Although the numbers are relatively small Mr Pee seems to have gained some followers after a number of users posted comments on the page, with some people even leaving even harsher comments, with one user named Greg Stone writing: “I struggled for years with addiction to Phil Collins’s music. Just take a look at me now.”
However you feel about the former Genesis man, I think you can agree this is all rather harsh!
