The ESB network have announced that up to 3,000 homes and businesses will be without power in the Longford and Roscommon area this evening, after a large electricity supply fault hit the region.
The company say the fault which will take a number of hours to repair, occured at a “medium voltage substation”.
They say also say crews are currently working to repair the fault but it may be sometime until the power is fully restored.
