The body of a woman was recovered from the water near the base of the Cliffs of Moher earlier today.
Walkers reported the presence of what appeared to be a woman in the water.
Emergency services were soon at the scene. The body was recovered shortly after 6pm this evening and transported to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.
