Boeing has reportedly opened up a $500m compensation fund for relatives of US victims killed in the Boeing 737 MAX disasters.
A total of 346 people were killed in two separate crashes in 2018 and 2019. A hidden software feature that pilots were unaware of was deemed to be the root cause of both crashes.
The crashes had a profound effect on the company’s finances, and the aviation industry as a whole.
