A boil water notice affecting upwards of 600,000 people remains in place across Dublin, Kildare, and Meath today.
The notice was issued after rain disrupted the water treatment process at the Leixlip Water Treatment Plant. This is the second time in two weeks that problems have arisen at the 40 odd year-old facility.
Irish Water staff were quizzed by TDs yesterday about the state of the water network.
