Gardai requested the assistance of the bomb squad on Friday evening, after residents in an estate in north Dublin reported finding a ‘suspicious’ package.
The incident happened in the Cranog Close estate in Poppintree at around 7pm last night.
The nature of the device was not disclosed, and no injuries were reported.
