Emmanuela Ogbeifo stole money from Pulse nightclub in Letterkenny, Co Donegal and tried to hide it in her bra.
However, the 19-year-old student was captured on CCTV by eagle-eyed security personnel, reports The Mirror.
Ogbeifo appeared before Letterkenny District Court in Co. Donegal on charges of theft.
The third-level psychology student was working at Pulse nightclub in Letterkenny on December 17 last year when she carried out the brazen theft.
The court heard that gardaí received a telephone call from the nightclub’s owner, Mr Mark Crossan, informing him that an employee had robbed the till, reports The Mirror.
Gardai showed CCTV footage of Ms Ogbeifo taking the money and putting it in her jacket.
She had no prior convictions.
“This was designed to fail. The till was covered by a camera and the staff knew this and I am not sure how she thought she was going to be successful,” her solicitor, Mr Frank Dorrian said, reports The Mirror.
