Boris Johnson promises 50,000 more nurses as Conservatives launch their election manifesto

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has promised promised 50,000 more nurses as he launched the party’s manifesto.

The prime minister said the Tories will also bring back nurses’ bursaries to much cheer from the onlooking crowd.

It’s understood that the 50,000 nurses will be made up of 14,000 in training and another 5,000 apprentices, while an extra 12,500 nurses will be recruited from abroad through a new NHS visa.

His party are running on the programme to “get Brexit done” – something that many people want to see happen one way or the other at this stage.
