As the days go by, it looks more likely than ever that Boris Johnson is now likely to become the UK’s next Prime Minister.

In the latest round of voting last night, the International Development Secretary Rory Stewart was automatically kicked out of the running after receiving just 27 votess. Boris Johnson once again ran away with it with 143 votes – up from 126 on Tuesday. Jeremy Hunt secured 54 – up from 46 – and Michael Gove came in third place up 10 votes to 51. Javid managed to pick up five extra votes to reach 38, just getting past the required 33 to stay in the race.

Brexit is due to happen on October 31st and Johnson, who led one of the Brexit side’s teams, will be tasked with the job to deliver it.

However, many believe that under Johnson it’ll be a “soft” Brexit and ineffective compared to what hard-line Brexiteers want.
