Boris Johnson’s agent has resigned after a video showed he was joking about a Christmas party in Downing Street last year as London was under level 3 restrictions.
Allegra Stratton said she offered her resignation to the Prime Minister less than 20 hours after the video was released.
Crying as she was talking, the former ITV reporter apologised for her jokes about the alleged party during a rehearsal for a press conference where other staff asked her about the meeting, which would have taken place on December 18, 2019.
