Boris warns politicians who want to block Brexit – “Politicians don’t get to choose which public votes they respect”

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has told members of parliament looking to stop Brexit that “politicians don’t get to choose which public votes they respect”.

Prime Minister Johnson made the remarks at the G7 meeting where he again reiterated to European council president, Donald Tusk, in person and other EU leaders that the UK will leave the EU on October 31st no matter what happens in the interim.

Meanwhile, Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn, a formerly die hard Eurosceptic, is convening a meeting of opposition leaders in parliament to strategize on how they can go about preventing a no-deal Brexit.

There are divisions however, amongst the opposition, with Labour seeking a watered-down version of Brexit which would keep the UK beholden to EU regulations and continue to allow freedom of movement for EU citizens while the Liberal Democrats seek to stop Brexit entirely.
