It has been recently announced that the audio equipment manufacturer Bose will close its factory in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, with the loss of around 140 jobs.
The well known company announced the closure as part of a worldwide cost-cutting programme. It is believed that the plant’s operations will be transfered to facilities in Malaysia and Mexico.
The Carrickmacross factory has been in operation since 1978.
