The Graham Dwyer murder trial has heard that he was engaged in a sexual relationship with Elaine O’Hara (37) which featured physical domination and S&M for sexual urges.
Dwyer (42) from Foxrock in Dublin is accused of killing the childcare worker who’s body was found in Rathfarnham after she had been missing for a year.
Text messages sent between the two were read out in court. There was a strange sexual affair between the two who allegedly met online.
One message from the phone in April 2012 read: “I’m a sadist. I enjoy others’ pain. You should help me inflict pain on you and help me with my fantasies.”
Another message read: “I want to stick my knife in flesh while I am sexually aroused. Blood turns me on and I’d like to stab a girl to death some time.”
Another message read: “If you ever want to die, promise me I can do it.”
Ms O’Hara responded: “Yes, I promise, sir.”
The court heard how Ms O’Hara had a psychiatric illness. She was said to be the perfect victim because she was in a vulnerable mental state.
