A 2-year-old boy in the US State of Michigan has found his new best friend after his family adopted a puppy which has the same condition as him.
In a story that has gone viral little Bentley Boyers has been left overjoyed after his mom and dad adopted a puppy with a cleft lip.
According to WIlX, the family decided to adopt the puppy after little Bentley who was born with a cleft lip fell in love with the pup at a local Jackson County animal shelter.
WILX reports that Bentley’s mom wanted to adopt the pup after his father FaceTimed her showing little Bentley playing with the pup whilst on a visit to collect rescued chickens.
Bentley’s mom who was delighted that her son found a new best friend told WILX that she is happy that her son can grow up with the dog knowing that they share the same thing in common.
It is understood that little Bentley was born with a cleft lip and struggled to eat when he was born, but has since had successful corrective surgery to correct the issue and his parents say he is a very happy toddler.
