A five-year-old boy and a man have been tragically killed following a collision in Co Offaly this evening.
It is understood the pair sadly lost their lives after the car man was driving collided with an articulated lorry on the Tullamore to Mountmellick road at approximately 5pm.
Gardaí say a young girl has also been airlifted to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin with life-threatening injuries, whilst another young boy is being treated for his injuries at Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore.
Gardaí say the driver of the lorry was also injured in the collision, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
