Gardaí have confirmed that an investigation is underway after a security gaurd was injured following an attack at Connolly Station.
It is understood the investigation comes after the man was attacked at approximately 7pm on Sunday evening.
Gardaí say the man sustained facial injuries following the attack, but it is believed that his injuries are not life-threatening.
Meanwhile Irish Rail have confirmed that they are assisting Gardaí with their investigation.
