Brace yourselves for a blast of wintry weather coming in the week ahead
Just when we were lulled into a false sense of Spring-like security, the week ahead is bringing cold weather, frost, and sleet showers.
Today, Sunday, will be the last of the settled weather for some time. The start of the working week will be wet in the north and north-east, with the rain spreading as the day goes on.
Tuesday won’t be much better, with hail and sleet showers possible, and temperatures reaching no more than 8C.
Early indications for the weekend show the likelihood of further unsettled weather, with wet and windy conditions across the country.
