Dundalk FC have done themselves and the League of Ireland proud tonight with a brave and spirited performance against Arsenal.
In a game that was ultimately only going to go one way, the Co Louth club were beaten 3-0 by the English side in the Europa League.
Although the League of Ireland champions were beaten comfortably by a much more expensive Arsenal side, they done themselves proud as a strong defensive display frustrated their host for long periods.
Dundalk which were just minutes away from going 0-0 at half time were undone by Nketiah and Wilock just minutes before the break.
The game as a whole was put to bed within seconds at the beginning of the second half as Pepe put the Gunners 3-0 up on the night.
Despite the defeat Dundalk continued to show their composure and defended resolutely to keep the score at 3-0.
