
A woman who was critically injured in an assault on St. Patrick’s Street in Cork on Sunday night has died from her injuries. She has been identified locally as 36-year-old Vanessa O’Callaghan, reports RTE. A native of Cork city, she had reportedly been using homeless services in the area for several years.
Ms. O’Callaghan passed away this afternoon at Cork University Hospital. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place tomorrow. Gardaà will determine the direction of the investigation once the post-mortem is completed and the preliminary results are available.
