
An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 has struck off the northeast coast of New Zealand. So far there has been no casualities reported, as the quake hit roughly 145km off the coast, but fishermen and naval seamen are being sought to make themselves known to authorities immediately.
It’s the middle of the night in New Zealand, and there is a fear that another quake will strike closer to the mainland like it did in Christchurch in 2011.
