A bad accident occurred this afternoon in Conyngham Road in the Phoenix Park, Dublin at 2pm.
A male cyclist was badly injured when his bike was involved in a bad crash with a car.
3 units of the emergency services arrived at the scene, including fire brigade, an ambulance and gardai.
This evening gardai have confirmed the man was brought to St James Hospital where he later sadly passed away from his injuries.
An investigation has opened into the accident.
