A very powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake rocked Japan 130 miles southeast of the country’s capital, Tokyo, at a depth of 10klm.
Japan’s Meteorological Agency says that the earthquake has caused no immediate damage to central Japan, while adding that “slight sea-level changes in coastal regions” will occur but people need to be ready for a possible tsunami
Emergency services are ready for a possible tsunami warning to be issued.
Small tremors were reportedly felt in nine Japanese prefectures, including in Fukushima and Tokyo.
