BREAKING: A young girl has died after being struck by a scrambler in Finglas – Teenage boy arrested

A teenage girl has tragically died following a collision with a scrambler bike in Finglas, west Dublin, reports RTÉ.

The incident took place at approximately 2:20 PM on the Ratoath Road, specifically between the Scribblestown and Dunsink areas. Following the collision, the girl was rushed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where she later passed away from her injuries.

A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with the fatal incident and is currently being detained at a Dublin garda station.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have completed a technical examination of the site, and the road has since been reopened to traffic.
Appeal for Witnesses
Gardaí are urgently seeking witnesses to the collision. They are particularly interested in speaking with:
Pedestrians or road users who were in the area between 2:10 PM and 2:40 PM.
Anyone who may have captured footage of the incident, including dash-cam recordings.
