The British actress Barbara Windsor has died aged 83 late on Thursday evening.
Dame Windsor was best known for her roles as Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders and in the Carry On films passed away peacefully shortly after 8:30pm a London care home with her husband Scott Mitchell by her side.
The beloved actress was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease almost seven years ago and went public with the news four years later.
