An 11-year-old girl has tragically died after she was struck by a car when she got off a schoolbus in Derry, police have confirmed this morning.
The terribly awful incident happened outside Castledawson, in Co Derry, on Wednesday afternoon.
Police in the North say that the girl was hit by a car after she got off the bus on the Hillhead Road shortly after 4 o’clock.
They have appealed for witnesses to come forward, including those with dash cam footage.
A technical examination has been carried out.
