Authorities in Russia have confirmed that 14 people have been killed following a fire on a submarine on Monday night.
In a statement released today the Russian Defence Minister confirmed that 14 sailors were killed after they were exposed to the fire which was eventually extinguished by the brave sailors on board.
It is believed that the submarine was carrying out tests within Russian waters at the time of the incident.
The defence minister added that the damaged sub has now been taken to Severomorsk Naval Base for an examination.
